The Ministry of Peace of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) is a federal government executive institution, first established by Proclamation No. 1097/2018 which determined the powers and duties of executive organs, and subsequently re-established with revised powers and duties under Proclamation No. 1263/2021, to lead the peace sector.
MISSION
To build comprehensive and lasting peace by safeguarding and enforcing the peace of the citizen, family, and society; fostering national consensus and country-wide unity; strengthening the federal system; managing conflict through proactive engagement; enhancing regional and continental cooperation and connectivity; and promoting institutionalization.
